Challenger series
In its 4th Year, the challenger has become Aucklands premier Mens club team’s basketball competition.
We are looking to confirm the top teams for 2022 Franklin Bulls, North Harbour Basketball assoc, Manurewa Hawks, GI Rise, Waitakere Basketball Assoc, and West Auckland Rangers.
The format for 2022 will Be a new format of round-robin games meaning all teams will Play each other and only the top 4 will go to the semi-finals.
Players caliber in each team have been curent or past experience in the ANBL, NZNBL, and USA collegiate pathways.
All-Star event
The All-Star event showcases the top players from the Challenger Series in a charity match-up for Mercy Hospice.
There are two games the next stars challenge are the youngest and upcoming talents watch some of Auckland’s and New Zealand’s newest stars.
The main event is the All-Star challenge our top 20 players in the challenger series will go head to head in an exciting game for Charity. Team Leon Henry will take the court.
This event is part of the Challenger cares program we will be using the event to allow patients and families from Mercy Hospice to enjoy the Entertainment. All money generated from this event will be donated to Mercy Hospice.
Finals Weekend New format
The format will be a final four with the top 4 placing teams in the Challenger Series.
